Confidentiality of Information for Clients of Iosis

Information gathered from you is confidential to the agency and will be used so that when you first contact us, we can:

Have details to be able to get back to you. Have enough information to find the appropriate person to get back to you. Know your situation and can consider action to best suit your needs/help. Get appropriate help quickly to someone in danger or to protect someone.

When we first meet with you we will discuss the meaning of confidentiality, answer any questions, to make sure you understand IOSIS confidentiality, and make sure you have a copy of this pamphlet.

The information we get from you remains confidential to the agency. Your worker will explain how information might be used for:

Team discussion - to get best possible help in place for you Casework collaboration internally – to make use of team expertise, update others involved so we can work together to help you – “two heads better than one” Supervision Collaborating with outside agencies with your permission Protection of anyone at serious risk - we’d tell you first unless the situation was too dangerous for us to do so.
