Aaron - From chaos to calmness. When his marriage broke down irreparably, Aaron was devastated. He needed to talk to someone, to help process his emotions. He began meeting weekly with an Iosis Men’s Development facilitator.

Learning to forgive and move on with his life was not easy. However, Aaron began focusing his energies on taking care of his son and making plans for their future. Inspired by the facilitator, he considered doing tertiary studies to become trained in counselling or youth work.

“The way the facilitator has moulded me and brought me out of the situation was amazing. If not, I don’t know where I would have been. I can seriously tell you I would have gone through a nervous breakdown,” says Aaron.

“I think men especially shouldn’t be afraid about talking about their feelings, and how things are in their life. That thinking and those feelings need to come out so they are able to maintain themselves in a calm place.”
